Junior Basketball - 2024 WINTER Competition Team Nomination Form

Welcome to the Online Team Entry form for teams wishing to play in the 2024 WINTER competitions conducted by the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium.

Within the association there are several competitions to choose from, you can select the competition that best suits your team.
Please note: teams may be re-graded or refused entry to the competition at the discretion of the Competition Manager.

PLEASE NOTE: Update has been made as per the Bathurst Basketball By-Laws (March 2024) :
- Representative player rule is now in place for all junior domestic basketball competitions = 3 Representative players per team (Full rule as per by-laws is below, please read thoroughly and share with the team). Any questions, please use the email provided below.

Junior Basketball Competitions:

Wednesday Primary School Basketball:

Skills Clinic = Wednesday 1st May 2024 (Everyone welcome to attend)
Trial Round = Wednesday 8th May 2024
1st Round = Wednesday 15th May 2024
# Rounds = 15 RDS + 3 wk finals series (Semi Finals + Preliminary Finals + Grand Final).
Divisions: Years 3/4 Mixed A & B grade, Years 5/6 Mixed A & B grade.

Primary basketball game fees = $8 per player per game, to be paid at kiosk on entry.
Annual Individual player registration fee = $70 per player (Due once every 12 months).

Friday High School Basketball Competition:

Trial Round = Friday 10th May 2024
1st Round = Friday 17th May 2024
# Rounds = 13 RDS + 3 wk finals series (Semi Final + Preliminary Final + Grand Final)
Divisions: Yrs 7/8 Girls, Yrs 9/10 Girls, Yrs 7/8 Boys A & B grade, Yrs 9/10 Boys A & B grade, Youth Mens (Yrs 11/12).

High School game fees = $50 team fee per game. (The stadium will be providing all team managers with the season total upfront. It is the responsibility of each manger to keep track of the teams game fees).
Annual Individual player registration fee = $90 per player (Due every 12 months). All players must be financially registered to play.

REPRESENTATIVE PLAYER RULE (As per Bathurst Domestic Basketball by-laws - March 2024)
1. Junior teams are restricted to a maximum of three (3) representative players per team.
1.1 A representative player is any player selected to represent the Bathurst Goldminers as a Div 1 or Div 2 player in the current Western Junior League (WJL) season.
Example: If a player represents the Bathurst Goldminers in the 2024 WJL season they will be considered a representative player for the 2024 Winter & 2024/25 Summer seasons.
1.2 Any player representing other associations in that season are also considered as a representative player in the Bathurst domestic competition.
1.3 Any player who has previously played for the Bathurst Goldminers or other representative associations, but are not participating in the current season, do not count as a representative player for that competition.
Example: A player last played for Bathurst Goldminers in the 2023 rep season but are not playing in the 2024 rep season, they are not counted as a representative player in the 2024 Winter & 2024/25 Summer seasons.
2. If any teams are wishing to play with more than 3 representative players in one team, that team must nominate in the age group/ division / school grade comp above.
Example: A) Goldminers U14 Boys (made up of players in Years 7 & 8) wishing to play as a team, must nominate to play in the Years 9 & 10 competition, if the total number of year 7 & 8 representative players exceeds 3. If multiple grades are offered to nominate in, they may select any grade.
3. A player from a younger age group playing up an age group/ division/ school grade comp above their own, will not count as a representative player.
Example: B) A team in the Years 7/8 competition have nominated with representative players from younger age groups/ divisions/ school grades (Eg: Years 5 or 6), those younger players do not count towards the maximum 3 rep players for that age group and will be allowed to play.
